Free Delta Wifi From Gogo

This week I boarded a Delta flight from DFW to ATL on a 757 and where I was given free wifi.  After I navigating to the Gogo site I received this message:

I have no clue who is sponsoring this or why I received the free wifi.  After a quick google search I was only able to find expired free Gogo promotions here and here.

Anyone else get free wifi this week, or know who is sponsoring this promotion?

  1. I don’t think it’s sponsored, I’ve seen free GoGo from time to time randomly. I think GoGo just gives it free once in a while to repeat customers.

  2. Interesting. I haven’t been using it lately because I’ve been on RJ’s that don’t have it installed yet.

That may be why they gave it to me, may not though.

Anyone else see a wifi Gogo promotion out there?

  3. I really want to fly on a plane that has Gogo sometime just so I can get the mile-high foursquare badge 😉

Sadly, United only has it on their p.s. flights and I wouldn’t be surprised if they get rid of it in favor of whatever wi-fi service they are installing on the Continental fleet 🙁

  4. @Hulagrrl210,

While Delta has its fair share of disadvantages, Wifi is definitely a huge one-up it has on United/Continental. They have installed it on almost all of its mainline fleet and are in the process of rolling it out to the Regional fleet.

United should consider rolling it out. Wonder why they are moving in the opposite direction?
