It was great to break the news with the readers here at Points, Miles & Martinis. So the big news, as many of you guessed correctly, is we are expecting a baby in the spring. Our 2011 travel plan was to travel to as many places that started with a B in preparation for our baby.

Reader Colleen hit the nail on the head with her comment # 9 – “OR, instead of just “babyâ€, it intended to be a positive “jinx†in trying for one. Now that it seems to have been successful, I’m waiting for the announcement of name choice in the style of celebrities naming the baby after the place of conception. Lure? Savannah? Parker?“. Since you were so on the mark, we are also sending you 5 certificates out of my goody bag for your excellent guess.

Now that we are expecting, we expect a slight dip in our travel over the next 8-10 months.  But, this gives us plenty of opportunities to replenish the miles and points balances. And of course we’ll share all the earning opportunities with you along the way.
