The Naki Island Phuket Luxury Collection hotel has interested us since it joined the program. I did a sample booking on this Category 6 hotel before and after the promotion period to see what the savings would be at this hotel. As you can see the lowest standard rate dropped from 22500 Baht per night down to 7500 Baht per night. This is 33% of the lowest standard rate before the promotion for a Category 6 hotel which redeems for 20,000 SPG points per night.

Comments

  1. Starwood hotels in Asia are not participating in the 2x/3x Better Nights promo (confirmed by thepointsguy), so no double dip there. Also using SPG Amex for Thailand hotels will incur a 2.7% foreign fee, so better to use no fee Chase Sapphire instead.
