There are a few improvements coming to the Minneapolis airport this year. The improvements are actually pretty cool.

Order Food Directly To Your Gate

The first improvement that caught my eye is that flyers will soon be able to place an order through their iPad and have food delivered directly to a gate. There will be no additional charge for the delivery. This feature will be through B4 You Board and give fliers the ability to order food from restaurants including Wolf Gang Puck to Chili’s.

TSA Pre Begins At MSP

The TSA Pre program will begin at MSP on 1/24/12 at check point 4. I haven’t used the TSA Pre yet but I am a NEXUS and Global Entry Member. I just added my Pass ID number to the “Known Traveler” section of my profile at Delta.com. I’ll report back once I’m able to use the program.

MSP To Undergo $25 Million Renovation

Delta’s new concession partner at MSP, OTS Management, is reportedly spending $25 million on renovations for Terminal 1 at Minneapolis airport. The project will elevate the dining experience for travelers by adding a full scale Japanese restaurant and even serving New York Strip steak.

Comments

  1. In Detroit, we’ve had TSA PRE for a few months now and it is awesome. If you’re lucky enough to get picked, you fly through security with no line, keep shoes on, keep liquids and laptop in bag. Love it!

  2. Concession renovations at Delta gates are sensory overload! Hundreds of Ipads all displaying advertisements in unison; terrible. What business travelers need is a gym, would pay top dollar to work out while I wait…
