Hilton Honors and Visa are offering 1,000 Hilton points by simply signing up for a mobile messaging program with Visa. If you register a valid Visa credit card you’ll earn the points. Plus, you’ll be registered to receive a weekly special offer from Visa each week. Once you spend $100 on one of their offers, you’ll earn an additional 4,000 Hilton points.

How To Register

  • You can register here to receive mobile messaging
  • Must register for the program between January 20, 2012 and June 30, 2012
    • Note: I received this promotion through an email and the initial registration site did not have a “https” and I wasn’t sure what the extra “H” was in the site address
    • This lead me to initially think it was a phishing attempt for my credit card number and phone number
    • The click through registration site is an “https” site which you can see here
    • So this looks safe and is mentioned on a few other blogs and sites
  • Here is a screenshot from Deals We Like validating this promotion will award you 1,000 Hilton points

Bottom Line

I’m not a big fan of giving out credit card and mobile phone information but this has been confirmed by multiple sources to provide a quick an easy 1,000 Hilton points.

Comments

  1. I’ve never received any special offers and I signed up for this a couple weeks ago. Would be nice to see if there’s something worth spending $100.

  2. i signed up. I have not received any txt messages from hilton, but I can confirm my 1000 pts posted a fews weeks ago.

  3. Same here, received the 1000 points Feb 7, but no text messages for points by spending $100 or more?

  4. Same here! Signed up, forgot about it, got points, was not sure why, but now that I read this post, I remember I signed up…I have not received one single text, so for not being spamed. I have not spent the $100 yet, so no 4000.

  5. Did I miss something? The offer says 4,000 points after spending $100 on an enrolled card at any Hilton hotel or resort. I don’t see anything about spending $100 on their special offers for an additional 4,000 points. Did I misread?

  6. Yes, we both did. I at first thought you just had to spend $100 at a Hilton brand location, but no. It says “redeem your offers” at one of the Hilton brands. So you first have to receive an offer, then go to a Hilton brand location and participate in that offer.
