Delta Reserve Credit Card from American Express

So I was interested to see their current offer shows a 30,000 MQM bonus after spending only $30,000 (normally this requires $60,000 spending) on the card in a calendar year. Could this offer have been posted to early and is change on the way?

Could this be right? Normally, the offer states earning 15,000 MQMs after spending $30,000 and earn another 15,000 MQMs after spending another $30,000 in the same calendar year.

Consider the Delta Reserve Credit Card from American Express.

The detailed terms and conditions page states it differently.

The close of the calendar year is December 31, without regard to the time of the year that the account is opened. If in any calendar year your Eligible Spending on your Delta Reserve Card is $30,000 or more, you will be awarded 15,000 Bonus Miles and 15,000 Medallion Qualification Miles (MQMs). The 15,000 MQMs are not redeemable and only count toward Medallion status. The MQMs are yours to keep or gift to someone else and, if in that same calendar year your Eligible Spending on your Delta Reserve Card is &60,000 or more, you will be awarded 15,000 Bonus Miles and 15,000 MQMs. The MQMs are yours to keep or gift to someone else. MQM gift recipients must have a valid SkyMiles account. If within 90 days, you do not elect to designate an MQM recipient, the MQMs will be deposited in your SkyMiles account. You may be permitted to have more than one Options, Classic, Gold, Platinum, or Delta Reserve Card from American Express account; however, you are only eligible to receive one annual bonus for each type (i.e., Options, Classic, Gold, Platinum, or Delta Reserve) of Delta SkyMiles Credit Card account from American Express.

If you showed a screen print of the Delta Reserve Credit Card from American Express offer page upon signup, would you qualify for the higher amount or the lower amount MQMs miles boost after hitting the spending $30,000 in a calendar year?

One could argue that the offer clearly articulates that spending $30,000 in a calendar year would net 30,000 MQMs. If you agree with this approach, make sure you take plenty of screen prints of the offer landing page and signup page. Regardless, 30,000 MQMs could go a long way to earning elite status for this year or next.
