Which Shopping Portal To Maximize Points

First, I looked to see if Chase had Williams Sonoma as a participating retailer because I like that you can transfer Chase points to many travel partners including United, Korean, and Hyatt. Chase Ultimate Rewards points are very flexible so that no matter which airline we want to fly; we can transfer enough points to get an airline ticket like we did for our upcoming Swiss Business Class trip.

Unfortunately, the Chase shopping portal didn’t have Williams Sonoma as a retailer in their Ultimate Rewards portal. So, I checked American’s Shopping portal and was excited to see that not only was Williams-Sonoma there but, there was a special promotion of 4x points per dollar, up from 2x!

I placed my order for some Thanksgiving must haves as well as ordered a wedding gift off a registry and got free shipping on all of it. Not to mention 4x points per dollar just for ordering items that I needed to buy anyway!

Even though I used the American Airlines shopping portal, I used Mr. Weekly Flyer’s Chase card to help him hit his spending threshold on his new Chase Ink Plus Credit Card so that he can get his 50,000 bonus.

Bottom Line

You can get 4 extra points per dollar when you buy Thanksgiving must-haves (or anything you need) at Williams-Sonoma and get free shipping too! 1,500 extra American points earned for items that I needed to buy anyway and I didn’t even have to travel any where to get them! Happy Shopping!
