Terms And Conditions

Eligibility: Offer void where prohibited by law. Registration is required. Only cumulative transactions on qualified transactions with participating Dividend Miles hotel and car rental partners between November 12 and December 31, 2012 are eligible (‘Eligible Activity Date’).

General terms: All Dividend Miles terms and conditions apply. US Airways is not responsible for the quality or delivery of goods and/or services provided by Dividend Miles partners. All Dividend Miles partner terms and conditions apply. Participating partners and partner offers are subject to change without notice.

Earning bonus miles: Bonus miles are in addition to miles awarded by Dividend Miles partners. Registered Dividend Miles members will earn a cumulative transaction bonus based on the following criteria: 1 − 2 transactions = 25% bonus; 3 − 4 transactions = 50% bonus; 5 − 6 transactions = 75% bonus; 7 − 10 transactions = 100% bonus. A valid Dividend Miles number must be provided to the qualifying partner. Use of a partner without earning Dividend Miles will not count towards a cumulative transaction bonus. Only qualified transactions that earn Dividend Miles with participating partners will count toward a cumulative transaction bonus. US Airways will track the cumulative transactions during the promotion period and will award the appropriate bonus miles based on the total qualified cumulative transactions during the promotion period. Only the miles from the first 10 eligible transactions (based on activity date)may be earned for this promotion during the specified period. Please note that hotel points to miles conversion transactions are not eligible for this promotion. Bonus miles for this promotion will post on March 1, 2013.

Eligible Activity Date: Only miles earned between November 12 and December 31, 2012 are eligible (‘Eligible Activity Date’). Eligible Activity Date is based on the date the qualifying partner records the mileage transaction, and not necessarily the date on which the transaction occurred. US Airways assumes no responsibility for how qualifying partners record Eligible Activity Dates. Most qualifying partners record Eligible Activity Dates based on completion of the required activity (for example, delivery of the item purchased, return of car rental, hotel check-out, cruise completion, etc.). You should check with the applicable qualifying partner to confirm its policies and procedures for recording Eligible Activity Dates. The last date that activity from a qualifying partner can be received by US Airways for bonus miles consideration is February 28, 2013, regardless of the Eligible Activity Date for such activity.

Bottom Line

If you plan to use one of US Airways car rental or hotel partners and would like to earn the bonus US Airways miles, make sure you select the option to earn US Airways miles when you use the partner. Even though this promotion offers 100% bonus miles on top of the partner miles earned, you will only receive the bonus if you select the US Airways mile earning option with the partner.

For car rentals, I still prefer the promotion to earn 3,000 US Airways miles with every Avis car rental over this promotion. But this is worth a look if you have a partner activity and are looking to earn more US Airways miles.
