Delta is continuing to roll out flat-bed seats in their fleet. Last week they rolled out another dedicated route and I stumbled upon a route with flat-bed service on a limited basis. We’ll share both routes with you in this post so that you may incorporate these routes into your trip planning in order to fly in the new flat-bed Business Elite seats.

In the past, I’ve enjoyed the 767 Business Elite flat-bed seats internationally and domestically on Delta’s 777 (flat-bed), 767 (cradle seats), A330 (lie-flat) and 757 (lie-flat). I’ve also shared how you could catch a flat-bed on Delta’s 747 to or from LAX. One way to find these flights is to start with the dedicated routes for Delta’s flat-beds and look at incoming and outgoing flights on those planes.

Atlanta to Santiago Chile

Delta announced they will add Business Class flat bed service between Atlanta and Santiago starting on March 31, 2013.

All seats in the flat-bed configuration have access to the aisle. You can see this from taking a look at the route map.

Searching for low level award availability can be difficult with Delta, but the low level availability was easy to find on this route.

Atlanta to Zurich

I stumbled upon the fact that Delta offers flat-bed service to and from Zurich on select dates. I haven’t been able to lock down the timing of when it’s offered, but if you are lucky, you may find yourself riding in the flat-bed Business Elite seat on this route.

Bottom Line

You can find Delta’s flat-bed service on a new route to or from Santiago, Chile starting March 31, 2013. You can also find the same seat on dedicated or limited time select domestic and international flights if you look close enough.
