The Surprise Inside The KLM Dutch House

One nice thing about premium international airline travel is the swag that comes with it. Most airlines offer the premium passenger a keep sake even if only in the form of an amenity kit. The amenity kit is actually quite helpful as it can double as a travel bag or other uses. But there is one better, the KLM Delft Blue Dutch House.

One of the most interesting pieces of premium international airline travel swag is the KLM Dutch House. Even if you don’t collect airline swag (I usually don’t unless it is useful) just look at this small collection below and tell me if you wouldn’t take one of these home with you to keep or give to a friend. Would you?

Little About The Houses

Since the 1950s, we present every World Business Class passenger with a unique gift: a Delft Blue miniature traditional Dutch house, filled with Dutch gin, also known as genever.

Each miniature depicts a real Dutch house. Every year on 7 October we celebrate the anniversary of KLM’s founding in 1919 by presenting a new house.

Over the years, our miniature houses have become desirable collectors’ items, generating a lively trade among passengers.

Would I take this chotsky home? Of course, they are filled with gin!

  1. Holland and Holland territories (Aruba, Curacao, etc.), those houses are great. You can buy them at 25 EURO a pop or just fly business class, be nice and ask for an extra one (or three!). Love these ones, they still well on a fireplace mantle.

    Cheers,
