Needless to say, Points, Miles and Martinis gets VERY excited when a new Park Hyatt launches. Today is no different.  For stays beginning August 1st, Park Hyatt’s newest hotel, the Park Hyatt Siem Reap located near the world famous Angkor Archaeological Park in Cambodia is now bookable for paid and award nights!

This property is pricing out as a Category 4 hotel which requires 15,000 points per night.  Availability is as close to perfect as it gets right now.  Stay the whole month of August if you so desire.

Siemreap

The website is missing a lot of photos but I will go out on a limb and say this property of 108 rooms and suites will be awesome, in typical Park Hyatt fashion.  For those who have visited the Siem Reap before this is a re-branding of the Hotel De La Paix.

The bottom line

Park Hyatts are awesome.  New Park Hyatts are awesome-er.  Sign me up.

  1. There’s some nice looking hotels there for $50/night, not sure if Park Hyatt goes with the spirit of Seam Reap and the type of travel you do there. It’s not exactly a luxury resort destination.

  2. Stayed at Hotel de la Paix within 6 months of their opening. We really enjoyed the property and the staff. The pool is a very interesting layout with lots of nooks and crannies that make it more private than a typical hotel pool. The restaurant with the swings was also super cool. Rooms were a bit small, though, and beds were terrible hard! With a few updates, this will be a nice addition to Gold Passport.
