A friend and I headed to New York from Atlanta in Delta’s new full flat Business Elite. My friend would continue on to Europe on a later flight (with flat beds of course) but not after we were able to try out the new Delta Sky Club at JFK.
We landed in Terminal 4 and had a short walk to the new Flagship Sky Club at JFK in the newly renovated space.

Since this was the first time we both visited the new JFK terminal, we decided to check out the new Sky Priority check-in “area” complete with a mini lounge seating area.
Shake Shack, and a number of other good restaurants are located in the new T4 at JFK.
We headed past windows with a great view of the old terminal being torn down. The shuttle to T2 is near the entrance of the gate area. If you have a connecting flight, make sure you allocate some time as the buses between the two terminals runs in intervals. I didn’t have any wait time when I connected between the two terminals.
The lounge itself was spotless and spacious. First of all, we were greeted at the front by some friendly agents.
I didn’t know it, but this lounge has a VIP room. Feeling luxurious, go ahead and reserve this room and request bottle service, I’m serious, that is offered.
The seating areas are modern and spacious. Plenty of room to spread out.
And the Sky Deck is as cool as the one in Atlanta. It felt a little larger, but was probably because it was long and opened away from the building.
Then we got down to business with a Happy Hour and some heavy hors d’oeurves. First the menu. It is all done on an iPad. Each meal even has a suggested wine pairing.
That is right, you can order Dom Perignon Champagne by the glass!
We heard the food in the lounge was good but were a bit skeptical at first. That is until we had our first order delivered. The truffled popcorn is a must. The sliders weren’t bad either.
We placed an order for the spinach and artichoke dip and the Heartland board. Both were deliciously paired with wines of course.
Bottom Line
The new JFK Sky Club was well worth the visit. And the new in lounge menu offers a high quality food product at a reasonable price. Delta does offer complimentary beverages from the regular drink menu. It would be nice to see complimentary access to the menu and / or Luxury bar for passengers on Business Class fares. Regardless, I’d still probably pay for the food on the menu because it was good and offered all the amenities in the lounge – free wifi, showers, televisions. Besides, where else can you get a glass of 2002 Dom Perignon by the glass? The Sky Deck offers a great place to relax before a long flight.

Are there anything free besides the nasty wine, boxed wine and soft drinks?
How did I totally miss this? Where do you have to go once you enter to order food and wine? I just assumed it was the same old same old hummus and olives?
$3 a beer is amazing!!!!! I thought they were much more expensive!
