One good thing about this promotion is it’s valid at over 1,100 SPG participating properties meaning as long as the hotel participates in SPG, nights at that hotel will count.

Terms and Conditions:

Member must register online at spg.com/bringonthenights by February 28, 2014, midnight EST. Member can earn 2,500 bonus Starpoints® after every (5) eligible paid nights, up to a maximum of 10,000 bonus Starpoints after 20 eligible paid nights. Member can earn an additional 5,000 bonus Starpoints once he/she has stayed 25 eligible nights. Member may earn a maximum of 15,000 total bonus Starpoints for nights from January 5, 2014, through April 30, 2014 (the “promotion period”).

An eligible night is a night at any of the over 1,100 SPG® participating properties paying an eligible paid rate during the promotion period. Nights do not have to be consecutive and can be accumulated across multiple stays.

An eligible rate is any rate that is eligible to earn Starpoints in the Starwood Preferred Guest® program. Free Night Awards and Cash & Points Award nights are not eligible toward promotional Starpoint earnings. A listing of SPG-participating hotels and resorts and a description of eligible stays and eligible rates can be found at spg.com under the program terms and conditions. See Section 1.4 for the complete definition of eligible rates, but note that certain prepaid rooms where the booking is made through a third party (including but not limited to travelocity.com, expedia.com and orbitz.com) are not Eligible Rates and do not earn Starpoints or qualify toward promotional earnings.

Bonus Starpoints will be credited to the member’s account within 2–4 weeks of the stay posting to the member’s Starwood Preferred Guest account following the 5th, 10th, 15th, 20th and 25th eligible nights.

This promotion may be combined with other Starpoint promotions in market during the same time; however, earnings are exclusive of each other.

Bottom Line

Be sure to register for this! It’s not the best promotion Starwood has ever had, and it definitely favors those who stay on nights. What are your thoughts?

Comments

  1. Very weak! Average 600 points per night at most. I like Hyatt promotion better – 2500 points per night max.

  2. I will stick with Marriott for now as I think they have the better deal with the MegaBonus.

Also IHG have better stackable deals.
