Air France announced that they now will allow personal electronic devices to be used in-flight during all stages of flight.

Air France

From their announcement:

The European Aviation Safety Agency now permits the use of portable electronic devices (PED) in “flight mode” during all phases of the flight. Air France passengers will benefit from this new regulation and will be able to use their personal devices while the aircraft is taxiing, during takeoff, while cruising and on landing.

With this new service, Air France customers can continue to work or play when they get on the plane until they arrive at destination, in total freedom. Air France does all it can on a daily basis to offer its passengers more autonomy.

Bottom Line

The European Aviation Safety Agency is following behind the U.S. in allowing portable electronic devices to be used in flight at all time, so expect to see more European carriers to allow this as well.
