I admit, I was pretty excited when I got home today and found that the package arrived for the 100,000 bonus mile offer I signed up for last week. The 100,000 bonus mile for the Citi Executive® / AAdvantage® World EliteTM MasterCard® is still live as of now.

100,000 American Airlines Card Offer Package

Knowing these offers don’t usually last long, and the fact that the American Express Platinum Card just announced they will no longer allow cardmembers access to the AAdmirals Club and the US Airways Clubs starting March 22, 2014, I applied right away. As a result, I figured the package today w0uld contain the card along with the details of the offer I had just signed up for.

The package contained a letter confirming the offer and reminded me to make the most of my new card by:

  • Earning 100,000 American Airlines AAdvantage bonus miles after spending $10,000 in purchases within the first 3 months of cardmembership
  • Admirals Club membership privileges to over 40 Admirals Club locations worldwise for you and your immediate family (or up to two traveling guests that accompany you)

The best part of the offer is obviously the miles, but getting to bring my family into the lounge with me is a huge benefit. But it will have to wait…at least 7 more days.

The card wasn’t in the package that arrived today. At first I thought the card had been lifted out of the package. But the package was sealed tight and there was language the card would arrive separately within 7 days.

So I’ll be waiting along with the rest of you that have already applied for the 100,000 bonus mile offer. Who’s waiting with me or have you already received your card?

  1. I was also confused why they would express deliver the confirmation.

Your card will arrive tomorrow. (Mine came 1 day after the approval even though the letter said 7)

  2. Same exact experience for ny husband and me. The letter, no card yet. I had asked the representative if I could get expedited delivery, and she said unfortunately no.. They had to send the terms first. New experience having it separated like this. Also my letter did not mention $200 credit, but called and credit was confirmed.

  3. Got my letter in the mail on Friday, and Card arrived today via Fedex. The $200 credit, 100K points, and Admirals Club Membership were included in the details. Gotta go find some VRs to work on that minimum spend!

  4. Anyone knows if CVS stores in Metro Atlanta have relaxed their credit-card acceptance for VR purchases. I quit the VR games about a year ago when they no longer accepted credit cards for VR purchases! Is it game over for metro Atlanta residents?

  5. I purchased $5,000.00 in Vanilla reloads yesterday at my local CVS and tomorrow I will purchase $5,000.00 in PayPal cards.

  6. Got the package that killed a thousand trees and the card the day before…..since I was a 75k too fast jumper the other details vary from the 100k offer………I called and was told to fax in the 100k offer that I received and they would update the card……….we’ll see as I was about 48 hours too soon for 100k……….

  7. @justSaying – exactly the same happened to me. called & was asked the for same thing, i dont have the 100k offer, is it possible to get one?

  8. Same with mine. Weird and wasteful.

What do you think (or know) a safe limit on purchasing vanillas on a single card each month? I’ve never bought more than two but may need to meet the $10K.
