This promotion is only open to Eligible Participants. An Eligible Participant is a person aged 18 or over and is a British Airways Executive Club Member. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the eligibility of Eligible Participants. Eligible Participants confirm that they accept the terms and conditions set out below.

This offer allows you to collect 25% bonus Avios Points when you purchase 27,000 Avios Points, or 15% bonus Avios Points when you purchase 5,000 to 26,000 Avios Points between 00:00:01 GMT 10 February 2014 and 23:59:59 GMT 23 March 2014 (the ‘Promotional Period’). Simply sign in to your Executive Club account and make a purchase during the Promotional Period and the bonus will automatically be credited to your account.

Eligible Participants may Gift Avios Points (purchase for someone else) during the promotional period, provided you provide the recipient’s membership number, in which case the recipient will receive the 25% or 15% bonus.

Bottom Line

To purchase 27,000 Avios and recieve the 25% bonus of 6,750 Avios, it would cost $768 or 2.27 cents per Avios which is not the best deal, but I suppose if you are just a few Avios short for your next award it could be worth it but I wouldn’t just proactively buy Avios at that price.

Also as a reminder, British Airways Avios is a 1:1 transfer partner of American Express membership rewards and they sometimes offer transfer bonuses so that would be a much better offer in my opinion.
