Bottom Line

Le Meridien is one of Starwood’s nicer hotel brands, so I’m pleased to see them expanding it especially in the United States.

  1. I prefer Le Meridien over Sheraton, Westin, Marriott, Renaissance, Hilton. My second choice would be W Hotels.

Their style is modern & sophisticated.

  2. I’ve now stayed many times and arranged for many groups of clients at Le Meridian in Arlington (VA), Philadelphia, New York, Cambridge (MA), and now Santa Monica for business. They all are beautiful modern properties, either very new or recently refurbished, with great service and excellent recognition for SPG Gold or Platinum. I love them–good group rates for superior products in the SPG offerings.

  3. I just stayed at Le Meridien Brussels. Ideally located across from Central Station, blocks from the Grand Place, it couldn’t have a better location. The public rooms were a bit edgy, very tasteful. The guest rooms had just been renovated, the staff could not have been more helpful. I left my camera In the room, and it was returned to me immediately. All in all, a very nice hotel at a reasonable cost,
