The targeted offer for 150,000 points here was an amazing offer.
After some ups and downs with meeting the minimum spending, I was finally able to hit the $10,000 spending requirement. As soon as I did the 100,000 points were deposited into my account. Got to say I really like seeing a six figure sum hit the account balance. I’m sure some of you may have got in on the latest 100,000 targeted Platinum American Express offer.
The big question for me now is do I go for the extra 50,000 bonus points after spending another $10,000 in the second 3 months.
What would you do? Go for the extra 50,000 bonus miles or save the “spending” for a different card?

Please! Buy Vanilla Visa and deposit to Bluebird and Walmart… then just put everything you can think of on the card. I just finished the 20k spend, just waiting for the payment to clear the bill and I’m rocking out with 150,000 points! Adding to my current base, I’m looking at over 300,000, which will take the family to Europe next fall!
Why are you worried about collecting more points if all you’re doing with them is paying your bill?

15,840 miles is nothing to sneeze at…..
I’d go for it. What are the alternatives. Maybe AA Exec for 100k with same spending? 50k points is worth it without even having to churn to another card.
