I just received another email from Starbucks about a Rewards Challenge where I could earn 2 bonus stars with any purchase before 10am for today or tomorrow.

It says there is no limit to the number of stars, so you could go in tomorrow and buy your whole office breakfast one item at a time to really rack up the bonus stars if you wanted to.

  1. I got a similar email from Starbucks for bonus stars, but it’s for purchase made after 2pm.

Perhaps Starbucks tracks what time each customer typically makes their purchase and categorizes their offer targets. I rarely go to Starbucks before 4pm, so I hypothesize so.
