There just something about visiting New York in the fall. When the leaves are falling, the weather is fair and activity is picking up from the summer, New York is a great place to visit.

In the past I’ve preferred places close to the park or within walking distance like the Ritz Carlton Central Park, Andaz 5th Avenue, Le Meridien or even the Hyatt 48 Lex.

But with a few new hotels into the mix, I’ve changed the top four places I’ll visit in New York. In no particular order, I’d like to visit the following hotels (again in some cases):

1) Andaz 5th Avenue

2) Park Hyatt New York

3) HYATT Times Square or Hyatt 48 Lex

4) Ritz Carlton Central Park

Bottom Line

There are many places in New York City that are worth visiting. If you visit the city and have points available le to use for your stay, which hotel do you prefer to stay at and why?

  1. As a veteran who’s stayed in over 35 Manhattan hotels, including RC Central Park and Andaz 5th Avenue, my favorite is the Intercontinental Times Square .Everything is top notch and the spacious rooms have the most comfy pillows I’ve ever slept on. As an IHG credit card holder, I use my annual free night at this hotel and enjoy free internet and a $15 mini bar credit, thanks to the platinum status the card gives me. And since there are ways to effectively purchase IHG points for .7 cents each, the redemption cost is $350, minus the ten percent point rebate for cardholders, making the actual cost $315. Best hotel bargain in NYC!
