Have you ever checked into a hotel and it reminded you of a dorm in college? I have.

During our ultimate golf trip to Scotland, we decided to stay at the Edinburgh Hilton Airport hotel on our last night. Since our flights departed around 7 and 7:30 am, it made sense.

We took a taxi into town for one of the best meals of our trip. But returning back to our hotel left a little to be desired.

Granted, the hotel has a nice bed, all the convenience of an airport hotel, but it just felt like a dorm. The stone walls, the never ending hallways. It reminded me of the days back in college in a dorm.

Have you ever had that feeling in a hotel. Where was it and was it at the hotel that made you feel that way?

  1. I get the feeling that the “deja vu” experience was perhaps unique to you.

Your only mention was of long hallways and stone walls.

This didn’t bring any memories to me, honestly. But “we took a taxi into town” does strike a chord.

    Where was your dorm?
