Bottom Line

Hyatt is back with another eGift card promotional offer where you can get a free $50 Hyatt Promotional eGift Card with the purchase of $500 or more. Hyatt eGift Cards make a great gift for a family member or friend.

In the past, I’ve used a similar promotion from Hyatt to purchase $2,000 eGift cards and used them to save $200 off 2 stays at Hyatt.

  1. Probably the Delta Business Platinum to put spending towards the Miles Boost for bonus MQMs.

  2. @The Weekly Flyer, sorry I wasn’t clear. For those of us who don’t have an AMEX OPEN account, would you use any credit card, or does this purchase is considered a Hyatt spend and thus the Chase Hyatt card?

    Thank you! 🙂

Okay, so with the 10% off deal, you buy a $500 GC and get it for $450. Your Open savings would then be 5% of $450 or $22.50. Overall $422.50 for $500 GC or 84.5%.

With the 10% extra eGC you spend $500 and get $550. Your Open savings would be 5% of $500 or $25.00. So overall $475 to get $550 or 86.4%. This is the worse of the two deals.
