Here’s a benefit of the Citi® / AAdvantage® Executive World Elite™ MasterCard® cardmembers I didn’t know about. Cardmembers can get a 10% discount on American Airlines vacation packages when they book their vacation package and pay for it with the Citi® / AAdvantage® Executive World Elite™ MasterCard® cardmembers.

I picked up the Executive card with the 100,000 bonus mile offer and still have the card. I’m sure some of you have picked up this card (or a few) so thought I’d pass along the 10% discount in case you are looking to burn some of your AA gift cards picked up through the end of year airline fee gift card bonanza.

American Airlines Vacation Discount

Cardmembers receive the 10% american airlines vacation discount on packages that include a hotel stay when purchased through the American Airlines vacations website. Rental Cars, Theme Parks, and other activities booked online count towards the 10% discount.

How I’ll Use The 10% Discount

I picked up several hundred AA gift cards when I was spending my $200 airline fee credit from the American Express Platinum Card. You can get up to $600 in 13th months through this method but even more if you also have the American Express Platinum Card or a The Business Platinum Card® from American Express.

I’m thinking about using some of these gift cards at purchase to reduce the cost of the airline ticket and hotel combination, then use my Executive card for the additional 10% off.
