According to Fox-5 in Las Vegas, a First Officer successfully landed an MD-90 this afternoon in Las Vegas with 168 people on board after a malfunctioning cockpit door locked the Captain out.

Christine Crews, spokeswoman for McCarran International Airport, said 168 people were aboard Delta 1651 from Minneapolis to Las Vegas when the cockpit door malfunctioned, locking the captain out of the aircraft’s control center. The first officer took over the controls and safely landed the airplane at LAS just after noon.
No one on board the MD-90 aircraft was injured, Crews said.
Bottom Line:
Pilots are trained for anything, I guess even landing the plane on their own. I wonder if the Captain was back in the cockpit for taxi-in?

I know the news likes to pick up things like this, but unless there was another issue with the aircraft or weather that caused a problem that FO lands the plan without incident 100/100 times
maybe the real reason he was locked out had something to do with that bean burrito he had for lunch.
