As part of Delta’s new 2015 SkyMiles program which is switching to a revenue based program, one of the best new features is one-way awards. You’ll now be able to book one-way awards and they start at 1/2 price of a round-trip award, which makes it great if you want to mix and match to redeem on different airlines, or pay cash for one way and redeem for the return.

Bottom Line

I think one-way awards are the best thing to come out of the 2015 SkyMiles program. They are long overdue and I can’t wait to start booking some one-way Delta awards.

  1. WMVP – Nice work. I haven’t booked my first one-way yet, but I have a few in mind 🙂 Will report back with observations, but seems pretty straight forward to book.
