Delta recently announced that they would be rebranding Economy Comfort to Comfort+, which would include free drinks including beer, wine, and cocktails. In addition, customers seated in this section would also have a snack basket similar to the one in first class. This rolls out March 1, 2015, but here’s a preview to what’s coming.

Bottom Line

It seems like Comfort+ is starting to look a lot like First Class on domestic flights with the free drinks and snack basket. What are your thoughts on it?

  1. The huge difference between comfort + and domestic first is the mileage kicker. I did 172 flights last year and only about a dozen were longer than 900 miles.

  2. Just going to miss this by about a week and a half flying over to Amsterdam.

That’s OK though. I’ll hit it up on my return to Europe in June; unless I decide to do the KLM flight direct to from IAD to AMS.

  3. Weak. Slash here, slash there, oh we’ll toss you a muffin. No MQD rollover to match MQM? Right. Which is why this previously 100% monogamous Delta Medallion, is now polyamorous. I can BUY up to Premium Economy status on just about any airline, if that’s what I want on a flight. There’s really no reason for me to bend my travel arrangements and accept Delta often-higher pricing any more.
