These headphones are actually NOT highly rated by most publications and forums that specialize in headphones and Hifi equipment. I guess Dr Dre Beats are popular with kids even though they are considered to offer the WORST value of any headphone company.

I recently picked these up and like them. Good build quality. Only downside is that the headphones must have power for sound (carry spare AAAs).
