Starwood will be launching new Platinum Choice Benefits for SPG Platinum members who stay at least 50 nights a year, per View from the Wing. Currently these SPG Platinum members get 10 Suite Night Awards, however many people have had poor luck in using them, so Starwood decided to offer some other options.

Starwood Launches New Platinum Choice Benefits

Starting March 9th, SPG Platinum Members who stay 50+ nights will be able to choose from the following:

• Gift SPG Gold Status
• 4 Free Uber rides (Up to $25 each)
• $100 Amazon Gift Card
• $100 Unicef Donation
• TSA Pre-Check Fee Waiver
• 10 Suite Night Awards

Bottom Line

I still think the 10 Suite Night Awards are the most valuable from the list, but it’s that Starwood is giving its’ members an option for those who don’t feel they get any value out of them.

Perhaps, they should of come up with a new solution for the Suite Night Awards like confirming them advance. I also would of liked to see SPG Platinum members choose a 2nd benefit at 75 nights, and a third one at 100 nights, perhaps they’ll make this addition next year.
