Delta just updated their 2016 Choice Benefit page for those members who’ve already earned Diamond or Platinum Medallion status and there are a few changes from last year.
Changes to Delta Medallion Choice Benefits
The first change is that they’ve removed the Tiffany bag tags for Diamond Medallion members, while these might not have been the most popular, it was still a nice option to have, so if you’ve chosen these last year they will now be a collector’s item.
The other change comes to Gifting Medallion status, for selections made for 2016 Choice Benefits, recipient status is valid through January 31, 2017, meaning that you could potentially gift status to someone for almost 2 years.

Bottom Line
I personally tink the global or regional upgrades can provide some nice upgrades so would choose that. In addition, if you’re looking to gift Medallion status to a friend or family member, that’s another good option.
