Alaska is offering a $149 introductory one way fare between Baltimore and Los Angeles. for tickets purchased by May 6 and travel completed by November 18. Alaska is also offering double Mileage Plan miles double miles on flights between Los Angeles and Baltimore during the first month of service, from September 9 to October 9, 2015.

The new flights on the Costa Rica routes will be available for purchase starting May 21, pending approval by Costa Rican civil aviation authorities.

Bottom Line:
Alaska’s announcement today is good news for those flying out of, or connecting thru LAX.  The flight from LAX to BWI is the only true red-eye into BWI. I also think it’s creative for Alaska to switch up its Costa Rica flying by announcing alternating day service to SJO and LIR, and then Saturday service to both major airports in Costa Rica. Anybody else like today’s announcement from Alaska Airlines?
