How I Earned 9,000 Hyatt Gold Passport Points

A few months ago, I wrote about an exclusive offer for Hyatt Credit cardholders, where you’re able to earn 20% back on award stays from now through July 31st.

I decided to put this to the test on my recent stay at the Hyatt Regency Paris Étoile, which I booked for a total of 45,000 points for a three night stay (15,000 points per night). I was pleased to find out that the 20% bonus points from this offer had just been re-depoisted in my account.

Screen Shot 2015-04-24 at 2.15.13 PMI just received the following email:

We’re so glad you are taking part in this exclusive offer for Hyatt Credit Cardmembers. As of April 7, 2015, you have received 9,000 bonus points deposited directly into your Hyatt Gold Passport account.

You still have time to get even more points back. So explore new destinations, book a stay with points and complete your stay before July 31, 20151. Or just use your Hyatt Gold Passport points for dining and spa awards and get 20% of those points back.

Bottom Line

If you’ve signed up for this offer as a Hyatt Credit cardholder, you have until July 31st to book and redeem stays, so be sure to take advantage of this before the offer expires, since it’s an easy way to get some Hyatt points back. As a reminder, this is good for both point stays as well as Cash + Points stays, so it’s a pretty generous offer in my opinion.

  1. Thanks for reminding me about this. I just checked and saw a 6,000 point bonus resulting from my 2-night stay in New Orleans!
