  1. If you have any Amex Open card I believe you can do better than this. If I’m not mistaken the FTU DFW sponsored code is still available for 10% off Hyatt gift cards. The sale is processed directly by Hyatt which means if you pay with an Open Savings card you can get a total of 15% off (Ebay’s deal is 12.5%). 16% if you pay with Amex Simply Cash if you selected the hotel category. Cards ship electronically I you buy e-gift cards which IMO is more secure than USPS.

  2. The discount is 17.75% when you add in ebay bucks and portal cashback….plus you earn you cc rewards.

  3. can I buy ebay gift cards from paypaldigitalgifts on ebay to earn 5pts with my ink while also earning 2% in ebay bucks, then use the ebay gift cards to earn additional 2% to purchase the hyatt gift cards, 4% from cash back portal?

  4. @Paul, good to know! I’m not familiar with eBay bucks and hardly ever shop there. @weeklyflyer maybe update post to remind about this?

In my particular case I’d still go with Open Savings and e-gift cards since we have such huge issues with our postal service (they lose stuff all the time) it’s not worth it for me to run the risk of losing the cards for the couple of extra bucks in savings.
