As reported and confirmed by DansDeals, Target will no longer allow REDCard loads via credit card. I tried to confirm this myself and actually just returned from Target here in Atlanta. I also loaded my card while I was there with no issues what so ever! Which is good news. Then, I asked the cashier if she knew of any changes regarding loading a Target RedCard? She said that she hadn’t heard a thing. So, that’s my experience. I guess we will have to wait until tomorrow to see what happens. It is hard to know if this is a regional memo or a national memo, so until tomorrow!

Bottom Line

Here’s hoping that this wasn’t my last load with my credit card!

  1. I too quickly made a trek over to Target and loaded up. I asked the Customer Service rep who had helped me before (and remembered me) if there was any news about the Redcard and she said “no”. A few days ago when I was at the same Target and at a register a cashier was helping the trainee with the transaction to load my card because she heard that something was changing – so that leads me to believe that things will be changing in Virginia.
