Earlier this month, we wrote about an upcoming offer from Starwood, where you’re able to earn Free Weekend Nights redeemable at any Sheraton property in the world.

It turns out the offer page is now up and running and this offer will officially start July 9th, and I can’t wait for this!

Offer Details:

• Nights can be earned at any Sheraton® hotel between July 9–September 30, 2015; regardless of when you book.
• Book your Sheraton stay via any Starpoint eligible channel to earn your nights and Starpoints®.
• Add up any five Sheraton nights — they don’t need to be consecutive — to earn 
  your free weekend nights.
• Earn up to three Sheraton Free Weekend Night Awards. 
• Award nights can be used separately or combined and redeemed for any Friday, Saturday or Sunday nights through December 13, 2015, at all Sheraton hotels and resorts.
• All Sheraton hotel and resorts are available for free night redemption. Choose from New York, Milan, Maui, Los Cabos, Bali, London and more.

Eligible member must register by September 15, 2015, 11:59 p.m. EDT. Members can earn one (1) Sheraton® Free Weekend Night Award to be used at participating Sheraton hotels on a weekend night after they book and complete five (5) eligible nights at participating Sheraton hotels between July 9 and September 30, 2015 (the “promotion period”). Members can earn this Award up to three (3) times for up to three (3) Sheraton Free Weekend Night Awards. This promotion is not transferable. Bookings made prior to the promotion period are eligible, but only eligible stays consumed during the promotion period will earn the promotional Award.

An eligible night is a stay with at least one (1) eligible paid night at any participating Sheraton hotel paying an eligible paid rate during the promotion period. Sheraton properties not participating in this promotion include Sheraton Addis, a Luxury Collection Hotel; Sheraton Algarve, a Luxury Collection Hotel; Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit, a Luxury Collection Hotel; Sheraton Kuwait, a Luxury Collection Hotel, and Sheraton Steamboat Resort Villas. An eligible rate is any rate that is eligible to earn Starpoints® in the Starwood Preferred Guest® program. Free Night Awards and Cash & Points Award nights are not eligible toward promotional free night earnings. A listing of SPG®-participating hotels and resorts and a description of eligible stays and eligible rates can be found at spg.com under the program terms and conditions. See Section 1.4 for the complete definition of eligible rates, but note that stays must be booked via spg.com, the SPG apps or hotel sites, and certain prepaid rooms where the booking is made through a third party (including but not limited to travelocity.com, expedia.com and booking.com) are not eligible rates and do not earn Starpoints or qualify toward promotional earnings. 

Sheraton Free Weekend Night Awards will be credited to the member’s account within 2–4 weeks of the eligible stay posting to the member’s Starwood Preferred Guest account. Sheraton Free Weekend Night Awards can be redeemed for any participating Sheraton Category 1–7 hotel for a standard room for any weekend night (Friday, Saturday, Sunday except in the Middle East, where it is Thursday, Friday, Saturday). Sheraton Free Weekend Night Awards must be redeemed for stays consumed by December 13, 2015. Members should call SPG customer service and mention Award ID F1WFN to redeem. Awards are not transferable and may not be redeemed for cash or Starpoints. Unused Awards will be forfeited. Sheraton Free Weekend Night Award stay(s) and night(s) will count toward elite earning qualification. Sheraton Free Weekend Night Award(s) are combinable and may be added to existing paid or Award stays.

Bottom Line

I was a huge fan of Free Weekend Nights when they had that promotion a few years where you could earn a free weekend night after every 2 stays. This new offer this summer isn’t nearly as good however, it’s not bad either.

There are many nice Sheraton properties where you can redeem this free weekend nights at including Sheraton Maldives Full Moon Resort & Spa, so there is a lot of value to be had here.
