American Express announced that they’ll be opening another new Centurion Lounge in Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental Airport (Terminal D) They plan to have Houston’s Centurion Lounge ready in the first half of 2016. Houston will be American Express’ 7th Centurion Lounge location in the US and is great news for cardholders of The Platinum Card® from American Express or The Business Platinum Card® from American Express OPEN, who can access all the Centurion Lounges for free!

Who is eligible to visit The Centurion Lounge?

Access to The Centurion Lounge is complimentary for global Platinum Card® and Centurion® Members. To access The Centurion Lounge, the Card Member must present The Centurion Lounge agent with the following upon each visit: his or her valid Card, a boarding pass showing a confirmed reservation for same-day travel on any carrier and a government-issued I.D.

All other Card Members with a valid American Express® Credit or Charge Card are eligible to purchase access to the Lounge for $50 per day, subject to capacity.

What is the guest policy?
Centurion® Members and Platinum Card® Members who receive complimentary access may enter with up to two guests or immediate family (spouse or domestic partner, and children under 18) at no additional charge.If you purchase a one-day pass, your children under 18 may accompany you at no additional charge. You must purchase a one-day pass for any additional guests.

Bottom Line

I love Amex Centurion Lounges; they are amazing! Houston is lucky to be getting this nice addition! I’m still pulling for them to open a Centurion Lounge in Atlanta’s Hartsfield Jackson!
