The Hyatt Regency Century Plaza hotel is located on the west side of Los Angeles, California. It’s a Hyatt category 5 property meaning free nights start at 20,000 Gold Passport points per nights.

On my recent stay, I was checking in late in the evening due to my flight and leaving the next morning, so apologies for not the best quality pictures.

As a Hyatt Diamond member I was offered my choice of welcome amenity and chose the 1,000 Gold Passport points. I was given a room on the 18th floor facing the pool and was told that I’d have access to the Regency Club located on the lobby level.

The room was average sized and featured a king sized bed, flat screen TV, desk with chair and another lounge chair.

The bathroom was good-sized and had marble counters. It had a shower/tub combination.

As I mentioned I had a pool view, there was also a wedding going on that evening which meant the outdoor space was packed with people.

The Regency Club offers the following schedule of services:

All other hotel guests have to pay $24 to access this.

The hotel features a grand lobby with a bar and lots of seating.

Bottom Line

This is a solid Hyatt property if you’re in the Los Angeles area, and I would say overall great perks for Hyatt Diamond members, so would recommend and return here on another stay.

It’s also located near by the Westfield Century City mall which has tons of restaurants and shopping and about 8 miles from LAX, making it a consideration for a LAX overnight if you didn’t want to stay at the airport.

  1. Oh, I do recall staying at this hotel when it was not a Hyatt. While a very nice property, it’s neither the Peninsula nor the Beverly Wilshire. Guess it’s all about Diamond benefits.
