Lounge Review: Delta Sky Club at LAX

After my recent flight from New York to Los Angeles on Delta, I decided to pop in the recently renovated Delta LAX SkyClub. I was able to access this club using one of my favorite perks with my American Express Platinum Card which is Delta SkyClub access.

The SkyClub is located in Terminal 5 Mezzanine Level between Gates 53 & 55 and is open daily from 5am-1am.

The renovated SkyClub offers tons of seating and is very well lit. Most seats offer power ports, so you’re able to charge your devices while in the lounge.

The SkyClub offers great views of Terminal 5 and Terminal 6 gates, so if you want you can grab a seat at the counter and do some work, while watching planes push back.

The club also features a new high-tech self-serve Starbucks Coffee machine, so if you’re a coffee lover, you’ll want to check this out.

In addition to the bar, there is spa infused water and tea, which are both self-serve.

The club features some ambient lighting and has some really cool rooms when you walk into the club off on the right side.

There is also a new seating area near the entrance and a quiet room in the back. Not pictured are the renovated bathrooms and shower rooms.

Like most SkyClubs, this one offered a selection of two hot soups.

As well as an assortment of snack items.

How To Get Access:

There are many credit cards which provide access to the Delta SkyClubs including the renovated one at LAX. As reminder both the American Express Platinum Card as well as the Business Platinum Card from American Express provide complimentary SkyClub access.

In addition, if you’re a Delta One passenger flying between Los Angeles to New York (JFK), you receive complimentary access.

Bottom Line

I was quite pleased with renovated SkyClub at LAX, and would recommend it to anyone passing through Los Angeles. LAX is connecting more terminals post security, and as the SkyClub is located in Terminal 5, if you’re flying out of Terminal 4, Terminal 5, Terminal 6, or Terminal 7, you can walk to this club without re-clearing security through the underground tunnels.

  1. Very good to know. Thanks! Can you access the Club with American Express Platinum Card but fly with United (not Delta)? Thanks.
