Great, and it says get the $5 credit, but I must be missing something because I didn’t!
Do you have to purchase something immediately after downloading? Or could it be any time before the 24th?
I do not get the incompatible error message, and there is no way for me to “add to cart” or order this in any way, I only get the “Get Started” button when I click into the free games, then it brings me to a page where I have to enter my e-mail address to get the link for installing the game…I’ve tried this in Firebox and Chrome…neither worked…

Yep worked fine for me. I picked the Star Wars game, to be sent to my Kindle Fire. Then went to buy a Netflix $25 egift card, and it took $5 off. Nice!

I think I found the reason it is working for some and not others. It worked for my husband’s account with a Kindle attached to the account. Even though it said “incompatible device” it let me continue and he got the email with credit confirmation. My account, however, which does not have a Kindle or other device linked to it just sent me to the “get started” screen and I don’t have a credit on my account.

Weird. I followed your link, followed the process, downloaded the same game as you, and got this e-mail from Amazon instead:
