How I Earned Two More Alaska Airlines First Class Upgrades

Las year, I status matched my Delta Platinum status over to Alaska Airlines, where I was awarded Alaska Airlines MVP Gold 75K, which meant I got 4 Guest upgrades last year, as well as this year. However the upgrades keep coming with the “Thank You Gift” from Alaska Airlines.

Even though, I did not re-qualify for my status, I was still awarded a thank you gift, which I chose 2 Alaska Airlines First Class Guest upgrades.

To find out if you qualify for this offer, log-in to your Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan account and choose “Thank You Gift” which is on the left side under MileagePlan.

The other choices were 2 lounge passes, or 2 WiFi passes, however the 2 First Class upgrades have the most value in my opinion.

How To Status Match To Alaska

To receive the status match you first have to have status on another airline. Then all you need to do is send an email to elite.flyer@alaskaair.com including your Airline Status card (in my case Delta Platinum), a recent copy of your airline program statement (I pulled the most recent Delta statement) and a copy of your current driver license.

Did you also receive the Alaska Airlines thank you gift? What did you choose?

  1. I went with the first class upgrades too! I also nominated my husband for MVP status hoping they’ll give it to him for next year. 🙂
