This is pretty interesting. According to this Reddit thread, people have been receiving a survey from Hyatt asking them questions that appear that they are considering an Amazon partnership. Wowser! That would be good! It sounds like they are looking for new ways to reward Hyatt stays and are considering partnering with Amazon to do so.

You should also check your emails to see if you too received the survey from Hyatt so that you can weigh in.
Some of the options mentioned in the survey are, according to SpeedCam on Reddit:
- “Get one Gold Passport point per dollar spent on Amazon as a Prime member.”
- $25 Hyatt gift card after every Hyatt stay
- $25 Amazon gift card after every Hyatt stay
- Free Amazon Fire TV to use while in hotel
- $50 food and drink credit to use in the hotel for every stay
- 2000 Points for every Hyatt stay
Bottom Line
It’s great that Hyatt is considering new partnerships and more ways to reward Hyatt loyalists. I in particular that that Amazon is a very interesting partner, as I love both Amazon and Hyatt and use both regularly! What do you think?

A partnership with Hyatt would work for everyone. If Amazon offered one Hyatt point per dollar spent at Amazon, that would shift more spend to Amazon. Add that to the 5 Ultimate Reward points that can be earned via Amazon gift cards purchased with Chase Ink cards at Staples, and you’re looking at 6 valuable travel points earned per dollar spent at Amazon.
I received the Hyatt survey yesterday.
I got it too. Fine by me, but made it clear I prefer Hyatt points over an Amazon credit.
Last year I received a survey asking what would I think of being able to “buy” Diamond status. Haven’t heard anything more about. But the Amazon idea is nice, too.
Absolutely everyone who is targeted with this survey should answer the last question in the same way I did:
Q: ” Please provide any additional ideas you have for incentives that would increase the
frequency of your Hyatt stays as an Amazon Prime member.”
A: The ability to PURCHASE Hyatt gift-cards directly through Amazon Prime website, in
various denominations, so that I can give them as gifts to friends & family.
