I’m really starting to like Delta’s enhanced food options in the Sky Club, especially the Delta Sky Club Breakfast options.

In the past before the enhanced Sky Club option, I would have considered alternative airport club lounges like the Club at ATL or the out of the way American Express Centurion lounge in La Gaurdia. But with the large selection of snacks and goodies for breakfast, it makes it an easy choice for an early morning visit.

Delta Sky Club Breakfast

There are generally two areas of breakfast options. First is the area with hot meals and the second is the area with fruits and yogurt and cereal.

The hot item area usually includes a few options from oatmeal to biscuits and gravy. But recently also included quiche with some sort of tomatoe sauce.

Next to the hot items there are bagels, pastries and condiments to sweater up the oatmeal.

The cold item bar is my favorite. Usually includes fresh sliced fruit and a fruit tower with wrapped apples, oranges and bananas. All great grab and go options.

Then there are boiled eggs, very nice Chobani yogurt usually in strawberry and blue berry flavors.

Bottom Line

You are likely to find something you’ll like in the Delta Sky Club for breakfast in their new enhanced food options. For me, the best part is the ability to wash it down with a Starbucks quality coffee, always in a to-go cup to bridge the time from the club to the plane.

What’s your favorite breakfast option in an airport lounge and where is it?

  1. Had a fantastic breakfast at the Delta lounge at SAN last week. I was catching the first flight out to MSP at 6:15AM and lines to grab a coffee at the food court were crazy so I decided to do a quick pit stop at the Delta lounge. Wow!!! It had been a while since I was in a Delta lounge that early and I was pleasantly surprised with the options. The coffee machine was upgraded and made very nice lattes and cappuccinos. There were 4 options of bagels and 3 different flavors of French fruit jam. Many options of cereals, cookies, fruits and yogurts, cereal bars, etc…. There were also other stuff that I did not have time to try.

  2. “What’s your favorite breakfast option in an airport lounge and where is it?”

Such a broad question bring back several great possibilities, such as Cathay Pacific HKG, or Singapore Airlines at Changi… even most European lounges come to my mind in fact.

Back to US lounges, I agree choices there are rather limited, to say the least about “choices” at all.

  3. I def enjoy the upgraded coffee machines that were in SEA forever…I take my own tumbler in and make an Iced Vanilla Latte just like the starbucks downstairs would. I also like the addition of chobani yogurt but I wish they would bring back the waffles and maybe a small breakfast sandwhich or like a build your own with the Einstein Brothers Bagels.
