What is the best or most surprising hotel amenity that you have received during your travels? Last month we headed to the Ritz Carlton, Lake Oconee. We’ve been there before and love it. This time we were celebrating Toddler Weekly Flyer’s Birthday and had a suite which was sweet! I will review the hotel again later but, this post is about the amenity that the hotel sent up when they heard that it was a Birthday trip. We had called down to the concierge to book a dinner reservation and mentioned that it was to celebrate a child Birthday. They called up 2 minutes later asking if they could bring a special amenity up. What was it?

Best Hotel Welcome Amenity?

Which brings me to my next question. Hotel guests that have elite status are used to receiving a welcome amenity of sorts when they check in. I have posted many different welcome amenities in the past here, from desserts to drinks, or of course you can always take the points. If you are celebrating something special and alert the hotel to that you may get something in addition to the normal amenity. So, what is the nicest or most surprising hotel amenity that you have received during your travels?

Here’s what Toddler Weekly Flyer received at the Ritz Carlton for a Birthday gift!

Best Hotel Welcome Amenity?

Super thoughtful gift for Toddler Weekly Flyer from The Ritz Carlton

Bottom Line

It was very nice and very unexpected to receive this gift for Toddler Weekly Flyer and she was very excited! This was probably one of the more surprising welcome amenities that we have received on our travels. How about you, what is the best or most surprising welcome amenity that you have received?
