Lyft Fires Back at Uber with Latest $4.75 Rides in NYC

Uber and Lyft are in constant battle in trying to win marketshare in NYC, which is great for customers since they’re both trying to undercut prices. A few weeks ago, Uber announced $5 UberPOOL rides in NYC, but it seems now that Lyft is launching $4.75 rides in the city.

Similar to Uber, these $4.75 rides will be Between 7–10am and 4–8pm, Monday through Friday.

  1. I currently live in northeast GA but will visiting NYC in late June. Can I get the $50 Lyft ride credit even though my cell phone number does not register with Lyft as in one of the eligible markets for the promotion (706 area code)? Thanks.
