Uber is rolling out scheduled rides in Seattle, followed by other top business travel cities. With scheduled rides, you can request your Uber ride 30 days in advance of when you will need it. And if you need to cancel, you can still “cancel anytime before your car is dispatched to pick you up, and after it’s dispatched you can cancel up to 5 minutes (per our normal policy) without a cancellation fee.”

Comments

  1. Such a useless feature, the reasoning behind wanting to schedule rides is so the drivers can know when to be in an area ahead of time. This is just an advanced trigger. Need to have a scheduling system that gives drivers confirmed fares ahead of time and therefore not needing to surge at all. They are just blowing smoke with this.
