Bottom Line
I really like the Starwood credit cards, Starwood Preferred Guest Credit Card from American Express and the Starwood Preferred Guest Business Credit Card from American Express and would rather pay the bill at Starwood with one these versus a MasterCard. Full pre-payment for all accommodation must be made using a MasterCard card so, I would think that the free night would outweigh the extra points you would get from using your Starwood Preferred Guest Credit Card from American Express. If you book a six night stay with the Citi Prestige concierge, instead of paying four nights with two nights free, the Prestige concierge service should reimburse the fourth night. Six nights, earning points on four nights, but a net cost for just three nights — is that accurate?

How does this stack with the triple points promotion? (I’m assuming it does but not clear if maybe the promo is “North America only”, etc)
I could just be completely missing this, but how do you tell which cities are running this promo? The link you provided is only for London.
All 3 Starwood properties in Barcelona giving the same error message even before dates are entered:
