Recently, there was an American Express Offer for You where you could basically sign up for a Sam’s Club Membership and pay the $45 membership fee and Amex Offers for You would give you a $45 statement credit. Pretty sweet!

Sam’s Club $20 Free With Amex Offer For You – Our Experience

Well, earlier this week I saw an offer on DealsWeLike, as well as a couple other sites where you could sign up for a membership and get an upgrade to Plus Membership for free and a $20 gift card and pay only $45 plus some other freebies (which if you have the Amex Offer for You is free!)

Sam's Club Free Membership And $20 With Amex Offer Our Experience

Overall, a very nice double dip in savings and basically getting $20 for free at Sam’s Club plus the free membership for the year.

Our Experience

We went down to Sam’s Club today and tried to sign up via this offer. Well, let me tell you to be prepared to wait! Our experience was really bad on the sign up process. We had 3 different customer service people try to sign us up with this promotion and not one of them knew what they were doing! Ugh, it was so trying and in the end it wasn’t even set up correctly. So, my suggestion first, is to be prepared to wait. Second, know what the offer gets you because my people had no idea what to do. Third, make sure that you are only charged the $45 and that they ring it up correctly to trigger the Amex Offer for You. I will say that the rest of the process was good. The store was clean, there were some decent deals, and the checkout process was actually awesome.

How To Get These Amex Offers For You

If you are new to American Express Offers for You or don’t have an American Express card yet, start here. You must have an eligible American Express Card and then add the Offers For You to your registered card to get the statement credit.

Bottom Line

This should have been an easy and no brainer deal. For us, it was at least 30+ minutes waiting at customer service and we still didn’t get all the benefits of the promotion. We did get the free $20 gift card and that worked out so, hopefully the Amex credit will also come off. We will see!
