Will flat fares cover trips of any price?

Flat fares are designed to cover full fares for almost every trip, with a $25 limit for uberX. You’ll be responsible for paying portions of the fare that exceed those maximums on each trip.

How to get flat fares
1. Buy

Purchase a $30 package to lock in flat fares for up to 20 trips.

2. Ride

From weekday to weekends, you’ll only pay $5 on uberX within designated Miami areas.

3. Relax

You’re all set. Flat fare pricing is valid through September 30, up to 20 rides.

  1. How will they compensate the drivers for those rides – pay them as if the customer was paying standard rates? If so is there a discrepancy opportunity to drive your friend around for 20 trips and make a profit out of the deal? Or will Uber screw over their drivers and pay them $5 for what could normally be a $25 fare?
