Delta One Transcontinental Business Class Dinner SFO-JFK

We recently wrote about the new Delta One Business Class North End Grill Menu which is served on flights from New York (JFK) to Los Angeles and San Francisco. However on Eastbound transcontinental business class flights, Delta is still serving up their regular menu so below is an overview of the current offerings.

Similar to the outbound, as a Platinum Medallion, I still had some regional upgrades left to use this year, so I decided to redeem one for this flight, which cleared shortly after booking as well.

For the appetizers for this flight, we had a choice of Antipasto (grilled eggplant, prosciutto-basil rotola, lentil spread, zest) as well as a tricolore salad with radicchio, arugula, endive, apricots, parmesan.

I also went with a classic Margarita for my drink with dinner.

For the main entree, I chose the Beef Tenderloin (dijon roasted garlic crusted beef, sweet potato, fontina gratin, sautéed spinach, pine nuts).

Other selections include the Cedar-Planked Salmon and Penne Pasta. It’s worth noting that they did run out of the Salmon on my flight, so perhaps they should cater more fish entrees.

For dessert the menu indicated dark chocolate gelato, however they must of not been catered properly, as instead we served vanilla gelato in a plastic rather than in the bowl as it’s normally offered.

Prior to landing we were served warm chocolate chip cookies (which I forgot to photograph).

Bottom Line

I was pleased with the dinner service on this flight and personally was a fan of the beef tenderloin with the sautéed spinach. It’s nice change from the North End Grill menu on their Westbound flights, and gives customers even more choices if you’re flying roundtrip between JFK-LAX/SFO.
