Why Delta’s Award Pricing Might Not Be Working Correctly

Delta, the leader in being all over the place when it comes to award pricing, including not published their award charts continues to lead the pact, with several recent changes including increasing award prices to Europe.

However, this latest finding is one that has been going on for quite some time, yet Delta still seems to keep missing it.

On certain routes, Delta Comfort Plus is pricing lower that their Main Cabin fares. For instance, on a trip tomorrow from Atlanta to Newark, you can fly in Main Cabin for 32,500 miles one-way or you can fly in Delta Comfort + for 27,500 SkyMiles each way.

For those wondering, paid fares aren’t coming up this way, only when you redeem SkyMiles.

Since when does it make sense to offer a premium cabin for less than their main cabin?
