Is Delta Getting Rid of Omelets in First Class for Breakfast?

Good Morning from 35,000 feet on my way down to the Carribean for the weekend. As a Platinum Medallion, my upgrade cleared into business class for this early morning fight, which meant I’d be receiving breakfast on Delta today.

Instead of the normal cereal or omelet options from Delta, it seems like they’ve decided to switch up their breakfast game. The two options were oatmeal or a hacienda scramble.

I decided on scramble, which was actually very tasty. It had eggs, chicken chorizo, corn, cheese, black beans, tomato,  in a nice puff pastry.

Overall I was impressed with breakfast, as it was a nice change from the routine.

  1. I’m all for ditching the omelet for a while. I think I had it for the first time in 2014. Earlier this year when I got the email wanting feedback after a trip in F that had breakfast, I even mentioned that it may be time to figure something else out in terms of hot option for breakfast.

  2. I miss the Northwest Airlines breakfast. Light cheese omelette and sausage links always consistently prepared.

Hotels rarely change their breakfast menus for a reason. It’s a meal that demands consistency.
